Right, now we've got that out of the way it's time for my semi-regular update on how uni is going. For lack of a better word it's f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c. Today we had an AIESEC OGX meeting with Kelly who is VP OGX at Victoria (AIESEC has been too cool for whole words since 1947), Marie who is VP OGX here at Massey, Me who isn't special enough to be a VP and on the EB, Jayme our EP who is going to India (yay we raised her today!!!), and apologies from Sarah who also isn't special enough to be VP. It was so awesome - I love hanging out with my homies from Vic. So that was cool after our meeting was done we went and had Indian (caus you know - I've been craving it since like last week) and we were just shooting the breeze. Seriously - if you're at Auckland, AUT, Waikato, Massey, Victoria, Cantebury or Otago University you should seriously consider joining not matter what degree you're doing. I'm almost sad the summer is coming - mainly cause I'm doing Chemistry in Living Systems over the summer extramurally. So you know - I get to set stuff on fire/blow it up/make alcohol in the shed.

Had my essentails of mammalian biology exam on Wednesday. It could have gone worse but I'm glad I put in all those hours studying but was recovering from a cold on that day so I think that may have impaired my preformance. I know more about cows than I've ever cared to know in my entire life.

Oh yes, hopefully next week I'm going to connect - via my own wireless device (because my computer is so ancient that it doesn't even take DDR2 RAM) - to the university network. Hopefully my (new) USB dongle should arrive tomorrow. Don't even ask about the hoopla I had to go through with the first one I brought. Grr!

Stupid communication will be dragging down my GPA, although it is a good thing I at least passed. I got Cs on both my essay and seminar. The girl who sits next to me in my tutor group got an A for her essay and a B+ for her seminar *is jealous*. Oh well she sucks at the science so I feel a little better (her major is nutrion) and considering this is the only compulsory non-science paper I have to do, I'm pretty happy. Oh yes you know that meeting I mentioned in my last report? Only Billy and I showed up. But I saw Dylan and Jono in our tutorial today so we've planned another meeting for today. Going to sort everything out i.e. delegate tasks.

I got into AIESEC. As an "outgoing exhange" so hopefull they'll send me on exchange next summer to the Chezh Republic. I'm so looking foreward to it! Hopefully though when AIESEC gets off the ground all the people who were rejected will be able to join. I was excited last night I couldn't sleep.

Exams are in just over a month so I'd better start studying. I'm wondering still if BMLSc is as selective as it claims? Because I've heard there is only 25 people in our year and they never take more than 30 people (apparently). I'm just looking at how taking biochemistry next year is going to affect how long I'm going to be here and it doesn't actually look that bad. Essentials of Mammalian Biology seems to be a really important one. Thus far it looks like I can't do 122.233 Metabolic Biochemistry so I will have to do it in S1 2011 and instead of doing 202.281 Pathology, Parisitology and Medical Lab Practice (S2 2010) I will be doing 122.102 Biochemistry of Cells.

Football is going well though! The girls are lovely.

Wow I don't update as much as used to. I was thinking about it on the way over today and I think it's because I don't actually have a lot to moan about. Things are ticking over quite nicely! I took this colour quiz just now and it actually quite accurate. Apparently I'm egocenteric I've never really thought about that before but apon reflection I think I am. I need to learn to be more humble. I have a team meeting in about 15mins in the library. I haven't been delegated as the team leader but I hope I am - I've got everything planned (including an agenda for our first meeting today). We took a lot at Belbins team roles a few weeks ago and I think I'm a co-ordinator (when I'm allowed to be a leader) or an implementer (if I'm not). I'm hoping to join AIESEC if I pass my interview on Wedensday (yeah a student group has INTERVIEWS O.o). On the whole I'm feeling quite happy.
