The best thing that ever happened to Palmerston North
Tuesday 12 June 2007 - 1.39am
Our beloved clock-tower, whose top fell off (previous post), has been revamped and updated. It is now a gay disco clock-tower. No longer an archaic symbol of our waspish heritage the Palmerston North clock-tower is forward-looking for a brighter (technicolour) future. Thanks city council.

Haha, that is hilarious. What are the big glowing compartments at the base (besides red and green testicles)? I see the cross made it back on there after God himself struck it down.

I bet you can see it from the top of Taranaki on a clear night.

I don't know what they are besides testicles. They seem to just be big solid blocks for holding the lighting stuff.

LOL. I likeit. And when the robot is complete it will go over and do battle with New Plymouth. That would be worth the money.

Palmy is just "trying" to catch up with the FAB light festival in New Plymonth, but it is soooo tacky and very "70's". Ask Austin Powers if he is looking for a new house!
