update
Saturday 14 March 2009 - 12.58pm
I went to this sports night last night with PULSE a church youth group. They are pretty nice people although I wasn't even there 10mins before God was brought up. Apparently, the person who had corned me at clubs day was a minister. My answers were No I don't believe in God so the following questions (how important is his plan for your life and something else) are irrelevant. I hope they don't mind me being Buddhist. There was a girl called Liz who was wearing a 2004 Wanganui High School leavers shirt so I asked if she knew Emma Crawford and she asked which one Emma M Crawford and I said yeah that one (Emma had told me previously that there were 2 emma crawfords at her school) and she said yes. So I though that was quite amusing. Even if I haven't seen neither hide nor hair of Emma in 3years.

Mums computer sucks. Not only had adobe PDF reader fucked up and won't let me view PDFs in a browser but they STILL have dial-up making it very difficult to do stuff on mastering biology (it's this neat website that comes with the textbook). I have an exam next week worth like 25% so it would be really helpfull if I could access it. I would go into Massey today but mum has taken the car. I love science but sometimes I wish there were more assignments and less 25% exams.

Yesterday for my communication tutorial we talked about what needed to be submitted for our assignment. It's not only the essay its self, but also an i-map (this documents thought processes whilst writing an assignment. I think it's is a great idea even if it's a little bit more work) and 2 exercises about evaluating source material. For my website I'm going to evaluate www.alz.org (I've actually refrenced this in my assignment) and for my journal I'm going to evaluate the journal of the amercian medical associatiion (I've also referenced a couple of articles from there). I'm trying to aim for an A.

I am feeling very studious today. If herb wasn't asking me to do this, that and the other thing.

too sore to move...
Monday 9 March 2009 - 8.29pm
Ack soccer trials nearly killed me *joints creak ominously* oh well I guess it serves me right. My bicep even aches, I've no idea how that happened. I'm mostly sore in my sides and lower back which makes walking annoying. So there is a possibilty of 2 teams I could get put into one plays in Manawatu division 2 and the other in division 3. Uniforms seem to look pretty okay though - massey blue and white. Getting hit in the shins without guards doesnt actually feel good. Incase you were wondering. I think i need to get an arch supporter for my left boot. Maybe mum and I can go across to palmerston north on the weekend and see what the experts have to say.

2013
Sunday 1 March 2009 - 1.07pm
Because I'm a cabbage and not very good at Chemistry I have to take Introductory Chemistry this semster to meet the prerrequitse for Chemistry and Living Systems which I'm doing in summer school which in turn, is a prerequiste for Biochemistry. Now, biochemistry is only offered in the second semester meaning that I'm going to be adding another year to my degree FOR ONE PAPER. Grr!! So in 2012 I'm only going to be doing 1 or 2 papers so I may just work part-time/full-time instead of adding extra papers so I can be classed as a full time student. Because 4th year is spend in work experience in an actual lab I can't do half and half.

I'm playing Soccer for Massey this year and just brought these. Aren't they pretty? Now I just need some shin pads. I used to play at school but I just borrowed stuff.

"...so every lecture is essentially worth 2%..."
Thursday 26 February 2009 - 8.30pm
Yeah so... not even 1 week into lectures I get bombarded by THAT particular sentiment. Fantastic. I already know when all my mid-semester tests/exams are. I think the first one is in March. My digital dictaphone arrived yesterday and I used it for lectures today for the first time and it's GREAT. It gets my lecturers voice even when s/he is say 3 or 4m away and no facing my (and the dictaphones) direction. In one of my biology of animals labs I get to make, with clay, a 4-day old chicken embryo. How cool is that!? I think a chicken embryo because they would greatly resemble how other animals develop. It's so awesome I get to do embryology it's a FACINATING field of study, although plauged by dliemmas in ethics.

Chemistry and Cell Biology aren't teaching me anything new at the moment and I'm getting a bit bored and frustrated with it all. Unforunately I can't skip the labs because they're complosry (yeah caus I can spell ><Wink. Hopefully, my Chemistry labs are better than all the other chemistry labs I've ever done.

THE BUS FROM FEILDING TO PALMY IS ALWAYS AT LEAST 5MINS LATE! Gods it's just so annoying especially when I've got to catch a connecting bus to Massey for a class. I've normally only got 3mins to get off the bus at Massey and get to my class. And considering how much my FOOT hurts at the moment... I don't know what I've done to it's but walking really hurts.

Lol, Peter seemed surprised when he heard no people talking during my recording and that I said people don't talk during a lecture because they get glared at. (Unless you did BSNS101 in 2008 at Otago. It seemed the girls in the back row didn't under stand that my looks meant I wanted to bang their heads together)

Lets get going
Thursday 19 February 2009 - 7.16pm
So this programme has been very interesting and I've learnt a lot, mostly where to go if I have issues. I think Massey has way better student support than Otago which is strange since Otago is a lot more expensive. Also, you don't have to pay! For (hardly) anything! I can go to the doctors for free if I register with the PHO (which I'm not going to do because if I'm sick I'm hardly going to feel up to travelling from Feilding to Massey just to see the Dr. Plus, my Dr is a nice man) and things like that. I haven't met anyone doing BMLS so hopefully that will happen next week when lectures start and I can start making friends in my lectures. I've joined the gym so hopefully I'll start loosing some weight. I can't find my lab stream on the college of sciences webpage so thats another thing I'll have to get sorted.

I'm going to Massey
Wednesday 17 December 2008 - 7.52pm
So something has happened and Gema threw a spaz and now I'm going back to Feilding town to live with my mum (at least for a little bit) and I'm going to be going to Massey. I've also decided that I don't want to live with anyone ever again i.e. don't want flat mates. Such is my life yes?

19 November 2008
summer break
Wednesday 19 November 2008 - 6.39pm
I arrived safe and sound (albiet 1 hour late) at Wellington airport. I hate flying I was feeling sick Monday and Yesterday. Changed the numbers around between my old phone and Gemas 027 she is giving me (she has an iPhone now and so dosn't use her 027) and I'm still waiting for it to do what ever, I'm giving it till 8pm tonight and if it dosnt change by then then it's back off to the telecom shop. I had nearly $20 credit on there was well.

Stil job hunting people don't have the sense to ring the landline because they can't get me on my cell phone and it just pisses me off. I do give people 2 numbers for a reason! Dumbasses.

It's my birthday on Saturday.

Well I'm leaving journals.jevon.org for the summer you can catch me on my lj.

going home!!
Sunday 16 November 2008 - 4.42pm
Well the preperations are complete, my stuff is packed into 3 suitcases and my room is scarily clean and empty. I'm ready to go. I will go to bed early tonight so that I'm not groggy when I wake up. Travelling takes a lot out of me. Gema is meeting me at the airport which is cool. I'm trying to sell my wacom graphire4 6x5 tablet to raise some funds.

5 November 2008
I am a happy kitteh!
Wednesday 5 November 2008 - 1.42am
Here is a list of reasons why I'm feeling rather joyful at the moment:
  • My last exam is on Thursday
  • I'm going to be moving directly to Wellington
  • I may have a job lined up
  • Gema rung me today for an hour
  • I finally have a copy of volumes 1-20 of Angel Sanctuary
  • I've just realised that I can do a google/wikipedia search from my browser! I love firefox <3
  • IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS AND I'M NOT GOING TO BE ALONE!! honestly, last year spending christmas by myself sucked ASS.
  • I think I've figured out what train I need to take in order to get into Wellington, my future work isn't that far from the station. Also, travelling to Palmy from Wellington is only $22!
  • It's 17 days till my 21st birthday!!
  • I spoke to Isaac today (my younger brother he is almost 7) and he told me I was his girlfriend. Apart from that sounding a bit incestous I was like awwwww! *heart melts*
how ever there is a couple of things that are making me a bit sad mainly revolving around people leaving before I do. Mariken left last week, Debbie left on Sunday and Keely left this afternoon.

28 October 2008
got to go to Wellington...
Tuesday 28 October 2008 - 1.12pm
Update on the eventual move to Wellington...
Gema and Ad have decided to take up an offer in Trentham, Upper Hutt because it's cheaper. Thats all good for me! It's going to cost me $497 every 3months for the train to get into University most days though. I hope I can find a job close to where I live that would be cool. I haven't commuted in a while hehe not since 2005.

Exams this thursday/friday and then only another 2 weeks to go before I'm out of here! You may get periodic updates about how my enrollment is going. They tend to always stuff it up SOMEHOW (blames UCOL for starting the trend >< )
