What's this??
No entry from Ms heather heather this morning for me to read when I got to work? Cry

I have decided that in the interests of my sanity that I would have to write an entry then since I did not have one from her to read.

It is not even remotely fair that it is only Wednesday today. I am so over work at the moment. Just want my 2 weeks of holidays damnit! At least I don’t have morning sickness to contend with unlike my poor dear friend Leah Razz

I have developed an interesting eye twitch/spasm of late. Only comes on occasionally (mainly if nervous) and I am not sure if its one of those things that I can feel and it seems monstrous but no one can actually see it or if it is as obvious as it feels. It happened again just before when talking to someone important and I was concentrating so hard on stopping the twitch that I completely missed what they said. Such a good look.

Oh dear - just got caught by a visitor having a big yawn and stretch at my desk. Felt good though. Want to go back to bed (although really that should just be a given with me).

I am sure there were other, deeply fascinating things I wanted to say but cant remember so am going to go have a cup of tea now instead!

Christmas Party...
My work Christmas party (decoration theme, Kiwi Christmas - complete with sand from small child's sandpit for a beach - thanks Sophie! and dry ice to give rolling waves effect - was held on Friday evening in the board room at my work since the inclement weather did its best and ruined any chance of having it outside on the deck. It was certainly an interesting night! The highlights (and low-lights - I will let you guess which are which) include, but are not limited to:

~ one very drunk collegue repeatedly dunking his entire head into a bucket of dry ice and thinking this wildly funny Oh my...

Note to self: do not organise dry ice for decorations ever again

~ one of my managers being so drunk he could not stand straight resulting in his (also drunk but not so much) wife storming home in a cab and proceeding to ring him on his cellphone then hang up on him for the rest of the night Timid

~ one young collegue trying to kiss me and declare I have a great rack Oh my... He will be so embarrassed on Monday... if he remembers

~ numerous people peeing in our gardens Oh dear

~ a hearty drunken "3 cheers for penny penny" and a showering of compliments for me for organising said party Embarrased

~ several drinking games being rolled out, the favourite seeming to be "Captain Pat" - the rules of which completely escaped me but seemed to result in someone tapping the top of your bottle of beer with the bottom of theirs, causing it to froth and spill everywhere unless you slurped like mad Confused

~ my boy getting drunk at my Christmas party and having a whale of a time with my work friends - while I couldn\'t drink because of stupid antibiotics - grrr

~ 50 people consuming $1000 worth of catering and we managed to run out of meat Sad

~ throwing the last people in taxis and surveying the carnage only to have the power fail, the alarm refuse to set and the doors refuse to lock resulting in having to drag the security system man out of bed to manually fix it.

WARNING: R18 MOMENT AHEAD - Parental advisory recommended - that means you Little Miss pidge pidge and Little Miss irene irene Wink

~ my boy and I shagging on my desk while waiting for the security man to arrive Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

WARNING: R18 MOMENT OVER

Normal Transmission will now resume:

~ flopping down on bed when we finally got up just after 1am to find my feet covered in blood and popped blisters from having wet feet all day running round in the rain organising and picking up stuff Sore

I think it was a successful night?!?

ENFJ
You Are An ENFJ - The Giver

You strive to maintain harmony in relationships, and usually succeed.
Articulate and enthusiastic, you are good at making personal connections.
Sometimes you idealize relationships too much - and end up being let down.
You find the most energy and comfort in social situations ... where you shine.

You would make a good writer, human resources director, or psychologist.

Eep!
From the stuff website:

"The figures from the 2006 National Census showed that the resident population of New Zealand has increased 7.8 per cent in the last five years to 4,027,947.

Of that number, 1,965,618 are men and 2,062,329 women - a gap of 96,711"

Go-Karting
leash leash's comment on my last entry made me realise that lots of people think of places like Daytona Indoor Karting when they hear the words "Go-Kart" - as did I until I met Michael. And while they are similar, the outdoor "proper" karting is much faster, the karts much lighter and much more skill is required to race with licences having to be sat and passed etc.

Below is some pics taken by Big Al (cheers Alex!) of my boy in action on Sunday (kart 68, yellow race suit, blue kart):

Krispy Fried Penny
Forgive me bloggers for I have sinned, it has been ... 3 days since my last entry. Since then, I have:

~ exploded with pimples in my old foe, the T zone - a direct result of eating too many of the 2 boxes of Roses Chocolates I got last week at work Confused

~ carried out several random acts of kindness - one to a dear Journals friend and one to a random little old lady at the Pitama Road shops - warm fuzzies abound

~ celebrated 11 months of bliss with my beloved Loved (more warm fuzzies)

~ played (and finished in an hour and a half) "Kings Quest I" for the first time and discovered what I have been missing out on that everyone else seems to know about.

~ had bank account look very healthy as I finally recieved my excess payout from my insurance company!!! Only 4 or so months since the crash Uhh

~ had bank account go back to looking sad as excess payout went to my beloved to pay back the money he loaned me to buy my racey car

~ drove to Wellington to go go-karting with the boy.

~ crashed start the boys car with the go kart trailer attached (and not run over my boy when I dropped the clutch and the engine kicked to life!) on the main street of Levin after the alternator decided to act up

~ stayed the night in Stokes Valley with the boy's sister and her husband and 2 cats complete with yummy bbq tea and cable movies (we watched Firewall - Harrison Ford is so old!)

~ spent many hours at the kart track watching practice on sat and then the competition on sunday.

~ got sunburnt to a sizzling crisp on sunday when I forgot the sunblock Roll Eyes Have lobster arms, v neck, nose, face and part line in my hair! Sore

~ had the most devine kapiti ice cream at Lindale (1 scoop = lemon merrange pie, 1 scoop = gingernut)

~ had tea with my family and my super spolt rotten nephew Jacob, who turned 5 today!!! (super spoilt = more presents than he knew what to do with!)

~ home to crash on the couch and watch Top Gear and sleep albeit fitfully due to sunburn hurting whenever the sheets touched it Sore

~ had an uninspiring day at work. Well, unless you think a visit by Simon Power is exciting?!?

~ come home to find my roof is leaking again Sad

~ recieved a lovely Christmas present from my favourite trader on Trade Me, how lovely is that?!?

~ eaten more roses chocolates Oh my...

Interruptions
I was just settling in for my usual morning routine of a cup of coffee at my desk and surreptitiously reading the journal entries from last night while pretending to be engrossed in opening the mail (trickier than it sounds!) when we had a fire drill. As interruptions go, it wasn\'t a bad one since today for the first time in weeks the big yellow glowing thing in the sky that we call "the sun" is visible and actually warming! It was nice to stand around and gossip while enjoying a few vitamin rays.

Back to my now lukewarm cup of coffee and the journals
